What is Social Media?
So what exactly is Social Media? It is the new way to keep in touch with family and friends. It is also a great way to find business connections.
Software tools that allow groups to generate content and engage in peer-to-peer conversations and exchange of content (examples are YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, MySpace etc) as defined by bottlepr.co.uk/glossary.html
This media is a great tool for all kinds of people.
As a Stay-At-Home-Mother I use it to connect to other mothers to ask for help and to give help.
For podcasters it is a great way to put information out there about your podcast and grow your listeners.
It is great tool for getting your work recognized for bloggers.
If you are starting a business or promoting one this is a great way to have people come to your site and find out information about your product.
The best part about social media is it allows for you to connect to others. Finding old classmates and business associates. Getting back in touch with them has become so easy.
