Exploring Web 2.0

I can still remember the day I got on my friends computer for the first time and experienced AOL.  The dial up connection.  Talking to people online.  Going to my first chat room.  It was so amazing.  I soon talked my parents into getting a computer at home, and they finally did.  I can’t even tell you what kind it was, but for today’s standards it was so slow.

I remember getting my first screen name - cuddles2831.  I even wonder if it is still out there, I have not checked it in years so I hope not.  I would stay up so many late nights talking on the computer to people I did not know.  I loved checking my email.  It was such a great experience.

As the internet and computers evolved, so did it.  I moved on.  But I still have my AIM screen name - ju5tj3nn.  I still talk to friends on AIM.  I just have grown into the social media I use, and how I use it.  Back then I was looking to meet young men, now I am looking for friendship and business connections.

My life has evolved just as AOL has.
